Use easy-to-care plants for your terrarium

Small, Stunning, and Easy to Plant

Our exceptional collection of terrarium plants is carefully cultivated from cuttings or tissue culture techniques within our environmentally controlled greenhouse. Each plant is nurtured in individual cells within specialized trays, ensuring optimal growth conditions.

These slow-growing beauties are exceptionally easy to plant, minimizing root damage and maximizing their adaptability to various terrarium environments.

With an average size ranging from 5 to 15 centimeters, our terrarium plants are perfectly suited for both closed and open terrariums, as well as small pots.

Whether you're a seasoned terrarium expert or just starting out, our plants are perfect for creating your miniature garden.

What are the advantages of using small plants?

  • Our plants have a well-established root system that helps them establish quickly in their final growing spot.
  • Small plants are easy to use in containers since they have already started to grow, and you can see what they will look like in their final position.
  • Using young plants in terrariums and vivariums is easy due to their size, which can perfectly fit inside the terrariums.
  • Because our plants are small, you can use more than one variety to add more colors and patterns to your terrarium or mixed container.

The tips you need to know when you receive your plants

  • Upon receiving your plants, place them in a frost-free greenhouse, conservatory or on a cool, bright windowsill indoors.
  • Young plants need careful watering to encourage root growth. Overwatering causes the roots to die and the plant wilts. Slightly dry plants can be recovered when watered.
  • Pot the plants or use them in your terrarium or potting them as soon as possible to prevent issues such as wilting, legginess, rotting, and loss of color and pattern.
  • Fill small pots (e.g. 90 mm, depending on the plant size) with quality substrate. A mix of peat moss and Perlite with an appropriate rate (70-30%) could be ideal for your plants.
  • If you use plants in a terrarium, to avoid the roots of your plants from rotting, it's crucial to establish drainage layers. Begin by placing a layer of leca, coarse gravel, or beach stones, about 5 cm thick, at the bottom of your glass garden.
  • Transplant the plants in slightly larger pots than the plant and allow them to settle and acclimatize. If potted into big pots, the tiny root balls will be overwhelmed by the mass of wet compost and will rot.
  • Gently firm the soil around the plant’s roots and water them.
  • Place the plants in a frost-free greenhouse, conservatory or on a cool, bright windowsill indoors. Cool conditions encourage strong, study growth, while too much warmth leads to weak, leggy plants.
